Urgent veterinary care for the health, sanitation and comfort of pets is considered to be an essential service. Therefore, we are remaining open at this time, with reduced hours. We have made some significant changes in how we are handling your visits and transactions. Please call the clinic at 760-758-2092 before coming down for ANY reason. DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC IF YOU ARE ILL. We have sent out two emails; one on March 18th and one on March 21st. See below for the text of those emails. We would appreciate your understanding and compliance during this serious time. Our staff wishes to stay healthy during this time so that we may continue to serve your pet’s needs. We thank you, in advance, for observing our established protocol designed to minimize the risk to our staff and to you, our valued client.

Social Distancing Protocol:

The following rules will apply to all visitors to our clinic.
1) Call to make an appointment prior to bringing your pet to be seen for any reason. Unless we are likely to need a urinalysis, have your pet urinate and defecate before leaving the house for your appointment.
2) Do not come to the clinic if you are ill. If you have made an appointment and then become ill, please call and cancel. There is no penalty for last minute cancellations.
3) Only one person will be allowed to attend the appointment. If you have multiple pets and require an additional person, please explain this when you schedule your appointment.
4) If you are coming for prescriptions, pet food or other supplies, call ahead to have them prepared. Once they are ready, you will receive a text message from our staff. Please allow a minimum of 5 working hours for prescription preparation (24 hours for controlled substances.) For pet food, please allow a 1 hour prep time.
5) Upon arriving at the clinic, REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE (with your pet, if applicable) and call the clinic to let us know you have arrived. 760-758-2091. If you call and you are asked to hold, say “I’m calling to check in” (this will eliminate or reduce your hold time.)
You may be asked for your method of payment and credit/debit card number. This will enable us to process your invoice and payment with minimal contact.
6) For appointments, a technician will come out to your vehicle to escort you and your pet directly into the exam room. Remember, only one person is allowed in the clinic. Once in the room, please take a seat and remain seated during your visit unless directed otherwise. Your pet may be taken from the room to our treatment area to minimize human contact. You will be asked to remain in the exam room while you are invoiced and your payment is processed.
7) For prescription and food pick up, you will be given instructions when you call. Only one person is allowed in the clinic for pick up. Our staff will assist in carrying food out, if necessary.
8) We ask that no children attend appointments at this time. If you are unable to leave your child with someone and your pet requires urgent care, please call our office for special instructions.
We already have a high level sanitation protocol in place for your pet’s protection. For your protection, we will be increasing our sanitation protocols for all surfaces that come into contact with people, such as door handles, chairs, pens, clipboards, etc.
Thank you for your cooperation in adhering to these mandated protocols. We want to continue to serve you and your pets while keeping you and our staff as safe as possible.
